If I Wished Hard Enough....
...... I could pretend that I was a photographer. I wish that I could spend all of my time photographing, and not working as a lawyer. I wish that there was some way that I could be "discovered" but who is there to "discover"? Who would I need to approach in order to actually work as a photographer for a living???

I have no real idea, but my guess would be to just start contacting mags and start sending them your work? Send some travel pics (ie these Fiji photos) to National Geographic, some of your nature and plant pics to Audubon society mags, contact a local newspaper to see if they are interested at all, that type of thing? Like I said, I've no real idea - this is just what I'd do, not knowing anything! Start small and slow, keeping your lawyer job, until you land something big. Then, of course, you'd have to decide and choose.
Don't do it.
You'd hate the drop in salary.
